Step 1. Remove all existing weeds.
Step 2. Level the surface of the soil.
Step 3. Spread 10 litres of substrate per square metre. Be careful not to over-apply – Plantimax is highly absorbent.
Step 4. Wait for rain or water using a hose with a gentle spray setting.
Step 5. Plantimax will begin to swell, forming a 3–4 cm thick layer.
Step 6. Once the initial swelling occurs – but before the top crust sets – rake the surface to even it out.
Step 7. Done! The protective layer will last around 12 to 18 months.
